Physics: Today we discussed the Dune Buggy Lab. Lab assignments will be due on Wednesday. After our discussion, I assigned Unit 2 WS #1 for tomorrow's homework.
AP Chemistry: We had our first morning help session today, and everyone attended. This will give them a one grade-level boost on their quiz, which takes place tomorrow. Chapter 3 homework is also due tomorrow. In regular class time, we did the Analysis of "Alum Lab." All post lab calculations and questions are due on Monday of next week (Oct. 11).
Chemistry: Today we went over the unit review for our first unit exam. We also spent more time looking at identifying significant figures and doing calculations with them. The unit exam will be during class time tomorrow. It our first Unit exam, and is worth 40% of the students' grades, so please encourage your child to be ready for this exam.
Physical Science: We spent the first few minutes of class answering the follow-up questions to the Wingspan Activity, then we white boarded the groups results. After discussing and critiquing graphs, WS#1 on graphing methods was assigned. This assignment is due on its entirety tomorrow.
As of this point, we will be taking our first unit exam next Tuesday. This means students will get the unit review assignment on Friday. Please remind your child to bring this home over the weekend to either finish or study. This first unit has taken a long time, with many skill building tasks, so doing well on this unit is crucial to success for the rest of the year. Starting to organize and study past parts of this unit early this week would be super helpful.
